Four Fitting Steps to Maximize Comfort
Fitting of feet, not shoes is a way toward true healthy comfort. Irrelevant of the style, if you miss the fit then your style may be compromised with your limp. When you are sized for shoes, be sure to have your feet:
- Measured from the heel to the longest toe length.
- Measured from the heel to ball length. The ball length is the big toe joint.
- Measured for the width of the ball. The widest part of the front of your foot.
- Finally, consider the girth or thickness and height of your instep.
Now, take all these as a basis for your fit as sizes vary from brand to brand. That is a size 8c in one brand is not necessarily the same sized shoe as an 8c in another brand.
The ideal fit of your feet will lead to better function and thus better comfort.
